Hi There My name is Nikhil Surender, mainly from Bengaluru, but I reside in the pearl city of Hyderabad, Telangana. I am a solo traveller and Youtuber. I have been travelling through many phases of my fe. Finally, I did decide to go to Mount Everest Base Camp to trek the beautiful Himalayas. I have been planning for this trip for 6 months but couldn't make it up. But finally, I have decided that I need to make it happen, so I completed my pending work and started preparation for the EBC trek. I stated arranging trekking equipment, boots,Trekking trekking poles, and required clothing for the trek. Once done, I booked my package and insurance in case of an emergency evacuation due to health or natural disaster. Then I booked my flight for the trip. Then I had some discussion about my trip with my parents. My dad was ok for the mission, but my mom was a bit concerned. Finally, somehow I convinced her that I would be safe and not to worry, and she was aggrieved. I have planned for two missions along with this trek "Travel Tribute to Karnataka Rathna,"Dr.Puneeth Rajkumar" and "Friendship through Tourism.
Finally, the day has come: September 25, 2023. I have flown to Bengaluru from Hyderabad. I did go to Dr.Puneeth Rajkumar's Memorial, which had a flag of cerimony. The same day evening, I took flight to our capital city. Overnight, I stayed in the hotel runway, which is near Indira Gandhi International Airport T3. The next day morning, I took flight to the world's highest city, Katmandu, Nepal. After finishing my immigration, I did change my currency from INR to NPR. Due to recent Indian note discrimination, it was very hard to convert Indian rupees to Nepali rupees. Later, somehow, I exchanged the currency. In which ways, I would like to inform all the Indian citizens travelling to Nepal that they should carry 100 INR notes and not any other higher or lower denomination notes. Finally i did check in to my hotel which was booked by my trekking company after freshen up i did go for some purchasing for my down jacket, fleez, glows and wind jaket at Kalapathar Store in Thamel . Thamel is known for its narrow alleys crowed with various shops that mostly sell trekking equipment, trekking-related costumes, food, souvenirs, wollen clothes, nightclubs, night clubs and pubs. The main day is near, and I did plan to visit some tourist and famous places near by, including Bhudha Stupa,Pashupathi Nath Temple,Kumari Ghar, and Dharbar Square. Then the final day arrives. I did meet my team members who are gone. Along with me, they were all from different parts of India. The same day evening, we had team orientation followed by dinner. The guide told us to be ready by 2:00 AM in the morning to reach Ramechap airport, which is almost 5 hours drive from where we stayed. As soon as we reached Ramechap, we came to know that due to bad weather, flights were running late. We waited for 3 hours, and then finally we got our flight from Ramechap to Lukla Tenzing Hilary Airport (one of the world's most dangerous airports) We were lucky to experience that this flight was an adventure before the actual adventure was stunning.
As we arrived in Lukla, it was around 12:30 pm. We had lunch and started our day-one trek to Phakding. Day 2 was a bit hard; it took almost 6 hours to reach Phakding. We rested after dinner and had a hot shower. As we gained altitude, it became very costly for everything we bought, including hot water for the shower, at 800 NPR.
Day 03 phakding to Namche Bazzar was one of the first hardest routes. It was getting steeper as we went. It took almost 8–10 hours to reach Namche Bazzar over night stay at hotel, and the next day was acclamatization to st our body pressure. Next day we went for a small hike to view the beautiful mountains called "Amma Dabalam" and "MT-Everest," and finally we went to the Verest hotel to have some coffee. We treked back to Namche Bazzar and rested for the day.
Day 05 Namche to Deboche one of 2nd hardest phase and terrain full steep the weather forcast was very bad it was raining with freezing air was very difficult to climb but some how we did climb and reached one of the largest Monastery of Kumbhu and witnesed some prayers at monestary and we took of to hotel rested that night.
Day 06 Deboche to Dingboche we are heading to sherpa village and modarate steap day we did come accrose tenzing hillary bridge and many big hanging bridge with kumbhu water flowing below of 1000's of feet with photogenic and magical locations with 100 of water falls flowing from beautyfull Himalayan mountains the after 3 hrs of walking we did stop for lunch break after luch our trek started for next 5 hrs finally we reached Dingboche and rested for the day follewd by next day Acclamatization day.
Day 07 Dingboche to Lobuche the trial to Base camp the way of trail was extraordinarry we coudnt explain with full of dry desert along with white moutaints of snow with height of 6089 Mtrs to 8097 Mtrs. The trail was crazy with steap of 70 degree angle we were pushing each other to walk we were hydration by having lots of water and energy suppliments We stopped for lunch and stated that we were trekking again. We finally reached Lobuche around 6 p.m., had dinner, and rested for the day. Day 8: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp, then back to Gorekshape This was the day our dreams came true. Around six in the morning, we left for Lobuche and eventually arrived at the highest memorial for trekkers who died while on an expedition. After paying our respects, we travelled to Gorekshep around 11:30 a.m., relaxed for a little, and then had lunch. Then we began our journey by foot to Everest Base Camp. We were travelling the tallest and largest moving glacier in the world on cravasis.
Reaching 5364 m EBC was reached after a pretty bizarre hike that involved many stones being carried up and down hills.
We succeeded, and I began paying tribute to Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, the Karnataka Ratna, for his assistance to the underprivileged children. He did give education to the poor kids, which inspired me to write the tribute. I did distribute some bags and candy for small kids on my way; they were happy. And I hoisted the Indian flag above the EBC rock 5364M.
We claimed a world record of hoisted the flag up to 5370 metres ever and sang the India National Anthem all together with my fellow Indians'.
And finally, Karnataka Ratna, Dr.Puneeth Rajkumar The photo momento was laid right to the EBC, a first-time travel tribute to Dr.Puneeth Rajkumar sir, as he helped a lot of people and deserves this place at the top of the world.
